The ability of municipal water treatment plants to produce a
safe and quality water supply depends substantially on the performance of the
layers of filter media to remove unwanted solids. The laboratory at Pennoni
Associates Inc performs tests designated by the American Water Works Association
on a range of filter media. Typical filter media tested in our laboratory
includes anthracite, silica sand, gravel, high density sand and high density
gravel. The Pennoni Laboratory performs tests of filter media on behalf of major
producers, contractors installing media and municipal authorities. |
